  I ordered the microwave and a trim kit from amazon and installed it in my cabinet. That was a breeze. Microwaved a cup of water to test it - hooray, we're done. A short time later, went to actually use the microwave for cooking. Press start, it waits about a second, then stops. No cooking sound or turntable movement. Went through the troubleshooting, took it out of the cabinet and tried another outlet, called Panasonic and they agreed it was defective. Returning it to amazon was easy, but the oven was out of stock, so I ordered from another seller. Now installed, the microwave looks great and has worked at least five times, so we're ahead of the game. But I do wonder about reliability. Two minor complaints. The quick minute button should start the microwave - it shouldn't be necessary to also push start. Also when cooking is done, the microwave beeps and displays "enjoy your meal". The message keeps scrolling but there should be a reminder beep after 30 or 60 seconds.

  I suspect that the boxes in the Amazon distribution center were already banged up - too coincidental to have the same situation on both units.

  I bought this about 3 years ago and now has the H97 error code which required a service repair, probably not worth fixing, it worked fine for 3 years but am very disappointed with its short life, I had a Panasonic TV die on me after 18 months so I think this co's product quality is going downhill... call me crazy but I think electronics should last much longer that this

  We have purchased many goods from Amazon over the years, but have not had to return a defective product until this incident. Due to the time-consuming process and potential cost (if package is picked up by UPS), we will think twice about ordering appliances from Amazon rather than a local retailer who requires only the returned product and a receipt to refund one's money on the spot rather than e-mails, phone calls, shipping documents and heaven knows how many days to receive a refund.

  We purchased this product on Oct 16th and it arrived on Oct 23rd and it stopped working on Nov 22nd. The turntable started moving even when the product was not in use and after a few minutes, we could no longer use the microwave. We have returned the product to Amazon for a full refund and will not be looking for a Panasonic replacement. We've had a lot of faith in Panasonic products, but this experience has been very disappointing.

  The features are rich and plentiful here in this oven but it's a little cheap feeling. The plastic is not engineered as closely to tolerance as you'd think for a microwave this pricey. It's only a mid-range oven and does mid-range things well. But don't expect a higher-end microwave in craftsmanship quality.

  This is a great microwave. We updated from a white model we had for many years to this SS version. No issues.

  Had an earlier model the literally went up in smoke (after 8 years). This was the nicer replacement model (all stainless face - no soft black buttons that get dented or worn out). Overall appearance is nice, but the LED lights/display (although I thought look great) don't match any of my other appliances. The full stainless face makes it look a lot more expensive (our's is built in with custom kit). This was the largest cuft in this small foot print we could find. Power is lot better than earlier version. Small metal buttons are a little small so you need to be precise to press but start button is even larger and now metal instead of typical plastic. Noise level is a little louder but with new tech it's worth it. Over all I"d be happy to get another 8 years out of this.

  We bought this oven in 2/09 and have enjoyed its capacity and uniform heating and cooking. Recently though, it began to shut down unexplainably and is now dead. The one Panasonic repair shop we were able to locate in Northern Virginia advised us that this problem is too expensive to repair. Sadly, we won't be buying another Panasonic oven.
